I'm finally coming out.....I'm a Green Thumb!

Having the new house is great! It's been years since I've had my own patch of dirt. No longer being a renter I can plant what ever I want. And my plan is an urban productive oasis. I've kinda gone crazy with the garden so far, and have a heap of veggies, herbs and fruit trees already planted. The best part about the backyard is that I completely leveled it. Not in the sense that I got a spirit level to it but I dug up all the useless lawn and landscaped it. All 8 x 9 m, yes that's Right folks it's a whopper! ;-)

So far I have two Apples, Almond, Fig, two Cherry's, Passion fruit, Rhubarb, Lime, Lemon and one Olive Tree. In years to come there will be no room in the back, but it will be full of fresh seasonal goodness. I've also planted herbs like you wouldn't believe. Some fun stuff like Pineapple Sage, Woolly Thyme and Chocolate Mint, plus all the regulars, Rosemary, Dill, Sage, Perennial Basil, Thyme, Oregano and my self seeding Parsley. And veggie wise I've put in Broad Beans, Lettuce, Onions (2x variety), Honey Snaps, Garlic, Cauliflower, Carrots and Potato.

Come this Spring my yard will be alive. I'll post some new photos when it starts to look good.
