Healthy to be a man
I'm of the old thinking that a Man is actually a man and should look like a man, thats a healthy opinion yes? I just don't get this androgynous wave, in fact it angers me. What is it with confusing the sexuality of a person when there are no internal questions of sexuality for that individual, for a gay person that's a different story.
I think the most adorable women are those, petite, sexy, smart but contently feminine and on the other hand the men I most admire are men that have a strong masculine substance but also exude class and style, think George Clooney, Daniel Craig, Clive Owen, Cary Grant. There is nothing wrong with taking care with your appearance, but I think to many fella's get caught up in what's 'hot right now' and in not taking control of their individualism get lost in the style directions of clothes buyers that blur the lines of masculinity and femininity. Although it must be said that the geek, nerd look is still one of my favs.
Then again in this little old town, if you put any effort into what you wear with any sense of individuality you are automatically assumed to be gay. Nice one backwards town.
Long story short I'm finally heading in a healthy direction now that the house renovations aren't completely running my life. I haven't had a drink or a smoke since the weekend and I've been walking. My sleep is still a bit dodgy but I'm positive that if I preserver I will eventually get a full night sleep. I'm on a mission to loose a heap of weight, not only that I want to feel healthy. I can't remember when I felt like that, maybe three years ago now. I remember it was a nice feeling. I want it back.
Some inspiration for the fella's (from The Sartorialist)

interesting entry. i do see a lot of guys wearing those fluro vee necks and skinny jeans when they go out...but they dont wear it with class nor individuality. great pics from the sartorialist! some hotties there.
That's funny, we're on a drinking ban during the week (to save on exorbitant wine spending as well as our health). And I feel really good for it.
I agree, I think men should look like men. That's why I married a man with a beard and get upset whenever he shaves it off.
I love it when a man puts a bit of effort into an outfit. Even just a scarf. Being a Melbourne girl, I miss seeing those gorgeous trendy men walking around. You're right, in this backwards town of ours people assume they're gay - how sad.
